Quick Answer

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Austin?

Most Austin kitchen remodels land between $25,000 and $70,000, depending on square footage, cabinet grade, and whether walls or plumbing move. A cosmetic refresh — new counters, backsplash, paint, hardware, refinished cabinets — usually runs well under that. We give you a fixed line-item price after the walk-through, so you are never comparing guesses.

Why homeowners call us

Why Kitchen Remodeling Pays Off in Older Austin Homes

Most homes in Austin were laid out for a way of cooking and living that nobody actually does anymore.

Closed-off galley kitchens. Not enough counter to prep on. A pantry the size of a coat closet. Cabinets from a decade when nobody owned a stand mixer. You do not need a bigger house — you usually need the same square footage arranged correctly.

We rebuild Austin kitchens end to end: layout, cabinetry, counters, lighting, electrical, plumbing, flooring, and the permits that go with them. One contract, one crew, one person answering your calls.

  • Custom and semi-custom cabinetry sized to your walls — no filler panels
  • Quartz, granite, butcher block and porcelain countertops
  • Wall removal with engineered beams and City of Austin permits
  • Islands, pantries, and appliance relocations
  • Recessed and under-cabinet lighting on proper circuits
  • Full electrical and plumbing rough-in by licensed trades

Kitchen Remodeling Questions from Austin Homeowners

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Austin?

Most Austin kitchen remodels land between $25,000 and $70,000, depending on square footage, cabinet grade, and whether walls or plumbing move. A cosmetic refresh — new counters, backsplash, paint, hardware, refinished cabinets — usually runs well under that. We give you a fixed line-item price after the walk-through, so you are never comparing guesses.

How long will my kitchen be out of use?

A typical full kitchen remodel takes 4 to 7 weeks on site. Cosmetic updates are often done in 10–14 days. The long pole is almost always custom cabinetry lead time, which is why we order it before demolition starts instead of after.

Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen in Austin?

If you are only replacing cabinets, counters, and finishes, usually no. The moment you move plumbing, add or relocate electrical circuits, or take out a wall, the City of Austin requires a permit — and a structural wall requires engineering. We pull the permits and handle inspections as part of the contract, so this is not something you have to chase.

Can you open up the wall between my kitchen and living room?

Usually yes. In most Austin homes that wall can be opened with a properly sized beam. We bring in a licensed structural engineer, get the beam specified and permitted, and build it. That single change does more for an older Austin floor plan than any other remodel we do.

Do you work with my own cabinets or design?

Absolutely. If you already have a designer, a Pinterest board, or cabinets you bought, we will build to it. If you would rather hand the whole thing off, we handle selections with you and keep everything inside your budget.

Do you offer financing or payment schedules?

We work on a milestone payment schedule tied to completed stages of work — never a large payment for work not yet performed. Talk to us about your timeline and we will structure it around it.
